When you make a donation to UMKC Foundation, you are making an investment in the growth of our students, the university and our community.

Leave a Legacy

A donation to the UMKC Foundation enables students to achieve their goals. Eighty-eight percent of our first-time freshmen receive some sort of financial aid. In every sector — life sciences, business, technology, visual and performing arts and education — our students contribute to vibrant and growing communities. Nearly half our graduates stay to live and work in Kansas City.

Every gift is significant. We encourage you to reach out to our planned giving staff to discuss the most effective way for you to support the university’s success and meet your financial planning needs.

Here to Help

You can make a one-time gift or a planned gift through your estate gift or financial planning. When you communicate your plans to us, it helps the university plan for the future, too. We acknowledge the commitment of those who choose to include the UMKC Foundation in their estate plans or planned giving with a membership in the Robert H. Flarsheim Society.

While we encourage you to meet with a personal financial advisor, we provide sample bequest language and a planned giving calculator to facilitate your process. For those who are interested, the UMKC Law Foundation provides an opportunity to directly support the School of Law.
