As an important part of the UMKC alumni team, student callers in the Alumni Fund Call Center reach out to alumni of the university to share campus news, update contact information and to encourage support of the university and the UMKC Alumni Fund. Donations to the Alumni Fund directly support students in each of UMKC’s schools and colleges.
With a pool of more than 100,000 alumni, students working in the call center talk to a lot of graduates. Together, callers make about 1,440 phone calls per night and speak to an average of 144 people per shift. Students working in the call center raise money for UMKC and learn the importance of giving back.

Student callers represent a range of majors, from pre-med to education and communications studies. They choose to work in the call center for a variety of reasons including the convenience of working on campus and the work hours.
