Our Commitment Continues

As the University of Missouri-Kansas City abides federal, state and local guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19, I want to assure you that the UMKC Foundation will continue to operate, albeit remotely starting Wednesday, March 18. If you call our phones, we will answer. If, however, you stop by our office, we will be closed to visitors. We will practice physical distancing, but are not socially removing ourselves from each other.

Our Work Continues

Our commitment to the health and well-being of our donors, students and staff necessitates operational adjustments to continue our philanthropic support services to you. UMKC Foundation and its supporting staff will work remotely or in staggered shifts to ensure checks are processed, acknowledgments are mailed, endowments are managed to support students, faculty and programs, and responses to your inquiries and requests continue. Our website will remain active to process online gifts and to make available donor resources to address your philanthropic interests with UMKC.

Looking Ahead

We are adapting, and even though this will be different, we’ll settle in. Students will continue to learn, faculty will continue to teach, and staff will continue to make the wheel turn. Our donors and volunteers have helped us weather many challenges and have helped us thrive in the good times. Collectively, all of us play a special role in making the university what it is today. Thank you.

For now, be safe and continue adhering to best practices for your health. If, for any reason, you need anything that our staff can help you with, please do not hesitate to call or email.

These contributions have true and lasting results right here in this community, and are carried out through the three primary activities of the university: teaching, research and service.
