Each gift to the School of Nursing and Health Studies makes a difference by furthering student success through scholarships, development of cutting-edge programs and renovation and construction of state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories.
Priorities for the School of Nursing and Health Studies include:
Provide lodging, transportation and attendance fees for students to attend conferences where they gain hands-on nursing experience that prepares them for life after graduation.
- Update technology and equipment so students can learn the latest industry standards, such as the Patient and Simulation Lab.
- Provide stethoscopes and other supplies for nursing students.
- Provide scholarships for the more than 83 percent of UMKC Nursing students that rely on financial aid.
- Help both graduate and undergraduate nursing students focus more on their education and less on the financial burden of school.
